Cryptic Message
I came home from my friend’s party to find my updates had stalled with a message stating something about security. This sparks my interest and if I wasn’t so drunk I prolly would’ve paid closer attention. But oh well, I just came to an even greater realization:

In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include –
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
As described above by the University of Minnesota, fair use of copyrighted material extends to nonprofit educational research. Living with a teacher who shares my local network and often does research, this fact is of great interest to me.
Clearly, I will have to investigate further.
UPDATE: I found out that the message was:

Local security certificates must be replaced
A security certificate which was automatically created for your local system needs to be replaced due to a flaw which renders it insecure. This will be done automatically. If you don’t know anything about this, you can safely ignore this message.
I checked on it and this appears to be a very important update.
